He was born February 17, 1950 to the late Walter E."Gene" and Mary Little Avey in Washington C.H. Ohio. He is married to Barbara L. Clement. His life's work was centered on music. He was a pianist, organist, composer and historian. He was Music Director at numerous Churches and in the printed music sales business for 40 years in both Ohio and Massachusetts. Read More	Dennis Hugh Avey, 63, of Norton, MA, formerly of Jeffersonville, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. He was born February 17, 1950 to the late Walter E."Gene" and Mary Little Avey in Washington C.H. Ohio. He is married to Barbara L. Clement. His life's work was centered on music. He was a pianist, organist, composer and historian. He was Music Director at numerous Churches and in the printed music sales business for 40 years in both Ohio and Massachusetts. He was an avid music historian and wrote concert program notes for two Symphony Orchestras in the Boston area. As a composer he wrote many compositions for his church choirs, individuals and small ensembles. He recently finished a sacred collection of pieces for Voice, Flute and Piano. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, of Norton MA, one daughter, of Akron, one brother, of Chattaroy, WA and one grandson, and the mother of Chad and Jenny, Vicky. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m at the Morrow Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with Pastor John Mercer officiating.
