Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 23, at the Salem United Methodist Church in Hubbard, with burial in the Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 23, at the Salem United Methodist Church in Hubbard, with burial in the Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. The Boeke Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Dennis John Tidman, was born on July 15, 1940, in Iowa Falls, to John Tidman and Fern (Neubauer) Tidman. He grew up on the farm nine miles south of Iowa Falls. He graduated from the Owasa High School in 1958. On November 17, 1960, he was married to Ruth Swaim in Owasa. They had five children together and 44 wonderful years of marriage until Ruths death in 2005. On June 3, 2006, he was married to Lois Finger in Steamboat Rock. They enjoyed traveling, gardening, going to the grandkids activities and enjoyed their retirement together. Dennis was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Hubbard. He served on various boards and committees and enjoyed all church activities. Dennis farmed his whole life. He had a love for working with and feeding cattle. He really never considered any other livelihood. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, picnics by the creek, going on walks with his dogs and ball games of any kind. Many of his most treasured times were spent with immediate family, extended family and many friends. Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife, his mother, two sons, three daughters, one brother, two sisters, seven grandchildren, a five step-children, and 14 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Tidman; his father, John Tidman; and his brother, Allan Tidman. [From the Iowa Falls Times-Citizen. Contributed by Robert Fahey.]
