Description	:	Dennis Milo Kohrs was born Aug. 22, 1942, in Clayton County, southwest of Postville, to Delbert William and Hilma Augusta Katherine (Kuhse) Kohrs Miller. He was baptized Oct. 4, 1942 by the Reverend Frederick R. Ludwig and confirmed March 25, 1956, by the Reverend Charles E. Witt, both in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. Dennis attended the Postville Schools. He served in the U. S. Army from 1964 to 1966, and was in the reserve until 1970. Read More	Dennis Milo Kohrs was born Aug. 22, 1942, in Clayton County, southwest of Postville, to Delbert William and Hilma Augusta Katherine (Kuhse) Kohrs Miller. He was baptized Oct. 4, 1942 by the Reverend Frederick R. Ludwig and confirmed March 25, 1956, by the Reverend Charles E. Witt, both in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. Dennis attended the Postville Schools. He served in the U. S. Army from 1964 to 1966, and was in the reserve until 1970. He was trained as a missile crewman and a mechanic in diesel and heavy equipment. Dennis was awarded the Good Conduct and Sharpshooter Medals. Dennis married Shelva Jean Jones Nov. 4, 1967, in the Little Brown Church at Nashua. They had two sons. They began their married life on the Don Heins farm southwest of Postville, lived in Castalia for a short time, and moved to Postville, where they have lived for most of their lives. Dennis later began driving truck for various firms in the area, including transporting livestock for Prairie Agri over a period of 15 years, and most recently drove for Zuercher Trucking. He died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center at LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Survivors included his wife, Shelva; two sons, Kevin and Shane, both of Postville; four grandchildren; two brothers, Gary (Cindy) of Independence and Wes (Judy) of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and three sisters, Karen (Jack) Jaster of Ossian, Barb Berns of Postville and Gloria Janey of Shellsburg.
