Description	:	HANSTON – Dennis R. Jones, 67, died Sept. 27 at Hays Medical Center. Born Jan. 3, 1943 at Spearville, the son of Bert and Bertha Smith Jones. A lifetime area resident, he was a lineman for Midwest Energy at Hanston, and he was also a farmer. Dennis was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Dennis Bradley Jones; and a daughter, Jamie Lynn Jones. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Hanston, with the Rev. Gary Winget presiding. Burial will be at the Brown's Grove Cemetery in Burdett with military graveside rites given by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Hanston. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Beckwith Funeral Home in Jetmore. Memorials may be sent to the Dennis R. Jones memorial scholarship fund in care of the funeral home.
