Dennis passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at Avera-St Lukes in Aberdeen at the age of 73. Dennis Ronald Steiner was born April 8, 1937 on a farm near Eden to Henry & Theresa (Sattler) Steiner. He grew up there and attended school in rural Marshall county and Sisseton High School. After receiving his education, Dennis served his country in the US Army. He was stationed in Korea after the war and later lived in Minneapolis Mn for a few years, where he worked in a meat processing plant & at Ford Motor company. On July 28, 1962 Dennis married Karen Deutsch at Eden. They made their home on the Steiner family farm near Eden where Dennis greatly enjoyed his farm work. He especially loved to watch his kids & grandkids play sports & was happiest when playing a good game of pinochle. Dennis was a member of Sacred Heart church where he served on the council and cemetery board. He had also been a director & chairman of the Farmers Elevator board of Eden. He particularly enjoyed a good pot of coffee, or two!! Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of 48 years Karen Steiner of Eden; four children, Denise (Jeff)Lueders of Glencoe, Mn.; Shelly (Randy) Peterson of Sisseton; Renae Steiner of Minneapolis Mn; Dallas (Carla) Steiner of Edina Mn; 7 grandchildren, Shauna (Zach) Zwart, Kaden Peterson, Haley Peterson, Aaron Lueders, Trevor Lueders, Colton Lueders, & Mark Lueders; a sister, Deloris (Jerome) Samson of Eden; and a brother, Willis Steiner of St. Paul Mn. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Ed, Walt, and Thomas; and 2 sisters, Lee Michlitsch and Ginny Erickson.
