She was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church and a wonderful mom, grandmother, great-grandmother who loved her family! In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Renee Whitley; one son, Kenny Buster Whitley; one sister, Martha Whitley; and one brother, Hubbard Handy. She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Ann Lacks and husband, Tom, of Hays, Brenda Kaye Taylor and husband, Sammy, of McGrady, and Linda Gail Myers and husband, Rodney, of North Wilkesboro; two sons, Denny Hubbard Whitley and wife, Maria, of McGrady, and David Dwayne Whitley and wife, Ann, of North Wilkesboro; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys Bell and Delcie Billings of North Wilkesboro, and Mary Shumate of Traphill.
