Mr. Offutt died Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning the death of Mr. Willard occurred. General debility incident to their advanced ages was given as the cause. They had been neighbors all their lives. The funeral of Mr. Offutt will take place at 10 o'clock Friday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Barnesville, and that of Mr. Willard at the home at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Mr. Offutt is survived by five sons and four daughters; Clarence C. and John B. Offutt and Mrs. Robert W. Stout, of Poolesville; W. Ernest and Raphael T. Offutt, of Rockville; Richard J. Offutt, of Washington; Mrs. William H Burland, of New Haven, Conn.; Sister M. Clementia, of Philadelphia and Sister M. Sulpice, of Baltimore. He also leaves two half-sisters, Mrs. Effie Poole and Miss Grace Allnutt, of Rockville. Mr. Willard leaves his widow, Mrs. Sarah E. Willard, formerly of Frederick county, and four sons: George D. , Harry L., and Ernest G. Willard, of Poolesville, and Maurice Willard, of Pennsylvania. He was an uncle of Associate Judge Arthur D. Willard and Paul C. Willard, of this city, and Vice Admiral Arthur Lee Willard, who is with the American fleet on the Pacific. Vice Admiral Willard had visited his uncle only recently. Both men were born between Middletown and Jefferson, but moved to Montgomery county in early life. For more than fifty years, they lived on and conducted adjoining farms near Poolesville and for a number of years had lived close [illegible] where they died. Mr. Offutt was formerly a member of the Board of Supervisors of Elections for Montgomery county, and Mr. Willard was at one time president of the Montgomery county Board of Education and was one of the original directors of the Poolesville National Bank.
