Ronnie was born at home in Grayson County, Virginia on August 8, 1953, to Harding and Georgia Fortner Woods. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Woods. Left to cherish his memories are his mother Georgia Esther Fortner Woods of Independence, Virginia, two sisters, Bonnie and Richard Barker of Independence, Virginia and Brenda and Roger Brown of Jefferson, NC; one brother, Larry Woods of Independence; one nephew, Devin and Ashley Phipps of Winston Salem, NC; special friend, Charles and Joyce Yonce of Elks Creek, VA. Graveside services to honor the life of Mr. Woods, will be conducted on Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the Grubb's Chapel Cemetery the Rev. Bob Cheeks officiating. While flowers are appreciated, memorial contributions may be made to the Grubb's Chapel Cemetery Fund c/o Charles Funk 14871 Comers Rock Road Troutdale, Virginia 24378.
