Description	:	Funeral services for D. C. Lineweaver were held last Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the Methodist church with the Rev. C. E. Thiele in charge. Music was provided by Mrs. C. H. Manatt, at the organ, and Mrs. R. R. Anthony and Mrs. C. W. Fowler, who sang two duets. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery with the following as pallbearers: Walter Uhl, C. J. Dunlap, Wm. Butts, B. F. Kensinger, Fred Gray and A. W. Scott. Mr. Lineweaver's death occurred Thursday, Nov. 15 at his home northwest of Brooklyn about 4:30 a.m. He was 92 years old. Dewitt... Dewitt Cofman Lineweaver was born near Harrisburg, Va., on April 26, 1853. At the age of 20 he came to Brooklyn, Ia., and after working here for several years returned to Virginia where he married Amanda Swank on October 24, 1875. The following year the couple came to Iowa and with the exception of two years spent the rest of his life in this vicinity. His wife died July 1915. On June 5, 1917 he married Hattie Meyers of Edom, Va. For more than thirty years, Mr. Lineweaver was township assessor and was a member of Grace Methodist church for about 55 years. He took an active part in the affairs of the church until prevented by advancing age. He is survived by his wife; two children, Walker Lineweaver of Brooklyn and Mrs. C. E.
