She attended school in Sterling, graduating from Sterling High School. She attended NJC in Sterling for one year before graduating from Bernal's Beauty School in Fort Collins. Diana married Jerry Lauer on Aug. 2, 1969. She lived most of her life in the Sterling and Holyoke areas. Read More	Diana Lea (Todd) Lauer was born March 25, 1949 to John and Dorothy Todd in Sterling. She died and entered eternal rest May 17, 2012 at the age of 63. She attended school in Sterling, graduating from Sterling High School. She attended NJC in Sterling for one year before graduating from Bernal's Beauty School in Fort Collins. Diana married Jerry Lauer on Aug. 2, 1969. She lived most of her life in the Sterling and Holyoke areas. Diana loved baby-sitting her grandchildren for many years before she worked as a cook at Holyoke Elementary School. Diana had several hobbies which included attending to her flowers and grass, shopping, going to the movies, reading and crocheting. She also truly enjoyed her time spent with her "coffee ladies" group. She was a very loving person with a positive attitude and great smile. Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Dorothy Todd; all of her grandparents; and her in-laws, Joe and Mary Lauer. Diana is survived by her husband, Jerry of Holyoke; daughters, Michelle and Chris Klinzmann of Yuma and Lori and Scott Finney of North Platte, Neb.; her beloved grandchildren, Cody and Tyler Lamm, Riley and Wyatt Klinzmann and Jared and Kyle Finney; brother, Rick and Barb Todd of Superior; in-laws, Janice and Delbert Heckel of Sterling, Fran and Duane Janicek of Kimball, Neb., Gene and Gale Lauer of Littleton, Bill and Connie Lauer of Pueblo, Bob Lauer of Fort Collins and Randy Lauer of Lakewood; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Rosary was held May 20 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Holyoke. The Mass of Christian Burial was held May 21 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church with Father William Jungmann officiating. Interment followed at the Holyoke Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Library, Peerless Center, Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation, Hospice of the Plains or donor's choice. Gerk Funeral Homes was entrusted with the arrangements.
