Description	:	Lynn Greenwalt went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 23rd after a courageous battle with cancer. While cancer poisoned her body, it could not diminish her spirit. Lynn was born April 23rd, 1954 in Colfax, Washington. She grew up in Colfax and attended Washington State University. She moved to Ritzville in 2002 where... Read More	Lynn Greenwalt went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 23rd after a courageous battle with cancer. While cancer poisoned her body, it could not diminish her spirit. Lynn was born April 23rd, 1954 in Colfax, Washington. She grew up in Colfax and attended Washington State University. She married Curt Greenwalt on June 12th, 1976. Curt and Lynn raised their family in the communities of Palouse and Spangle where pulling lambs, warming piglets on the oven door, and caring for puppies were a way of life for her. She moved to Ritzville in 2002 where she worked as a para-educator at Ritzville School District until 2020. In 2018 she was AAA Washington Safety Patrol Advisor of the Year. Lynn assisted with school and extracurricular activities for youth (e.g. sports, FFA contests, fairs, etc.) for nearly her entire adult life. She embraced the role, took pride in her students' accomplishments, and treated all kids as if they were part of her own family. She delighted in giving, and was doling out gifts to others even in her last days. Lynn never met a stranger, enjoyed making new connections in her travels, and loved to laugh. Lynn is preceded in death, and was greeted in heaven, by her parents (Roy and Elizabeth 'Bibbitt' Glaser) and parents-in-law (Chris and Ellen Greenwalt). Lynn is survived by her spouse of 45 years, Curt Greenwalt; eldest son Travis and his family (wife Sasha, daughter Hadley and son Taevan); youngest son Tyler and his family (wife Linze, and daughters Addison and Olivia); as well as two older siblings, Roger Glaser (wife Joed) and Ed Glaser (wife Sue) and their families. We know she is in the Lord's hands now and we find comfort in Romans 8:28: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." There will be a graveside service at the Ritzville cemetery (Rosenoff Road) on Sunday, June 27th at 2 pm. Those attending are encouraged to dress casually and wear Lynn's favorite color, pink. A reception at the Washington Wheat Growers Association (109 East 1st Avenue in Ritzville) will follow. Published by Spokesman-Review on Jun. 27, 2021.
