On July 17, 1976, Diane married Roland "Rollie" Schumacher at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Menominee, NE. The couple made their home in Norfolk. Throughout her life, Diane worked as a high school home economics teacher, an insurance agent, a librarian, an administrative assistant and a bookkeeper. In 1995, Diane and her husband, Rollie, became the owners of Frontier Mowing, Inc. Diane played an instrumental role in the success of the business, serving as the bookkeeper, payroll coordinator, and, at times, a cook for the hired help. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially pies and cheesecakes. Diane is survived by her three children: Brandon (Heather) of Sioux Falls, SD, Brian of Omaha, and Renee (Joseph) Reding of Omaha; 2 grandchildren: Gregory Schumacher and Jrake Reding, Omaha; and 5 brothers and sisters: Duane (LuAnn) Jones, of St. Helena, Clayton (Joanie) Jones of Omaha, Harlan (Alison) Jones of Frisco, TX, Mardell (Peter) Stuerman of Sioux City, IA, and Rhonda (Mike) Reeson of West Point, NE. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rollie; her father, Donald; and her mother, Cyrilla. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be Monday, August 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with BURIAL in Prospect Hill Cemetery. VISITATION will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the church with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. under the direction of Home for Funerals.
