Diane Loretta Cox was born on February 28, 1946, in Marshalltown, the daughter of Clifford and Anita (Aldrich) Hines. She attended LDF High School and studied at Marshalltown Community College. On August 26, 1963, she married Danny Cox. Diane was first employed as a sales clerk at Montgomery Wards. She later accepted employment at Ford Implement in Toledo and worked there for more than twenty years. Most recently, she worked as a payroll manager at Lennox Industries for over fifteen years until her retirement. She was a member and a Deacon of Iowa River Church of the Brethren. She sang in the choir and served several terms on the church board. She was also a board member at the Lennox Credit Union. She enjoyed volunteering at the Emergency Food Box and Second Chance on 3rd. She was a passionate fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's activities and sporting events are the things she loved and enjoyed the most. Surviving are her children, Bryan (Kimberly) Cox and Danette Damman; her niece, Anita Thornton; her grandchildren Kassy (Jake) Nelson, Travis Clement, Aspen (Jake) Mason, Autumn Brown, Taylor Damman, and Caleb Cox; and her great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Danny; sister, Darlene Wilson; and brother-in-law, David Cox. Paul Daniel officiating. Diane will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery. Urn bearers were Bryan Cox, Caleb Cox, Travis Clement, and Jerry Tichy.
