Description	:	Rites Are Held Saturday for Dick Raak, 67 Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church here at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 12, for Dick Raak, 67, retired prominent Sioux county farmer, longtime resident of Sioux Center vicinity, who passed away Thursday at the Sioux Center Community hospital. Services were conducted by the Rev. Jack O. Boerigter and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home. He was married to Minnie Vander Ploeg February 22, 1923 and to this union seven children were born, all of whom survive. They are Dennis of Ireton, W. Clifford of Sanborn, Muriel (Mrs. Bob Griffen) of Des Moines, Kenneth of Worthington, Minn., Rev. Truman Raak of Grand Rapids, Mich., Irwin and Vernon, both of rural Maurice. Mr. Raak farmed southwest of Sioux Center for 35 years before retiring and moving into Sioux Center. The family residence is located at 322 Second Street Southeast. Sioux Center News 1967-08-17.
