Dick died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska. Dick was baptized and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Douglas, Nebraska, where his father and mother farmed. He attended country and high school at Douglas, graduating in 1945. Dick died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska. Dick was baptized and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Douglas, Nebraska, where his father and mother farmed. He attended country and high school at Douglas, graduating in 1945. Following graduation, Dick joined the United States Navy, and was stationed several places, including the Phillipines Islands; California; and Seattle, Washington (Whidbey Island). On May 9, 1947, Dick was married to Donna Gayle Wellman at Syracuse, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with four girls and one boy. Following his Honorable Discharge from the Navy in 1949, the family returned to Douglas to farm. In 1967, Dick and Donna moved their family to Haxtun, Colorado, where he managed a grain elevator. In about in 1970, they moved to Glenwood, Iowa, and later, Pacific Junction, Iowa. In 1992, Dick and Donna relocated to Wausa, Nebraska, where he worked as an over-the-road trucker until he retired in 2005 from Gray Carriers of Norfolk, Nebraska. Dick was a member of the Wausa United Methodist Church. Dick is survived by: wife, Donna G. Neeman of Wausa, Nebraska; daughters, Sandra (Darrel) Sinkler of Kilgore, Nebraska, Jacqueline (Monte) Faulk of Eaton, Colorado, Becky Rae (Dave) Sexson of Littleton, Colorado, and Pamela Kay Bolton of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; son, Michael D. (Connie) Neeman of Norfolk, Nebraska; sister, Ramona (Melvin) Mullennax; brother, Duane (Barbara) Neeman; sister-in-law, Arleen Hespen; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and and friends. Dick was preceded in death by: parents; sister, Wenona Boettcher; brother, Boyd Neeman; sister-in-law, Arla Neeman; and brothers-in-law, Adolph Boettcher and Ervin Hespen. Burial was in the Park Hill Cemetery, Syracuse, NE.
