Read More	DICK HARTMANN DIES Was Well Known Young Farmer in West Part of County Craig Independent: Dick Hartmann, a farmer living near Akron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ulfert Hartmmann, of Craig, died at the hospital in Akron Tuesday night, January 27, 1925, following an operation. His condition was serious, for appendicitis. The first of last week he went to Akron to consult a physician regarding his sickness and was told an immediate operation was necessary. Thinking of his family, his property, and work on the farm, he returned home and put matters in shape for the operation which was performed a couple of days later. His condition was serious, but he seemed to be on the mend until a few hours before his death. Deceased was born in Germany but came with his parents to the United States when he was two and one-half years old half years old. His birth is recorded as of January 12, 1982, thus making him 33 years and 15 days of at the time of his death. On November 20, 1913, he was united in marriage with Miss Minnie Pageler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pageler. To this union were born two sons, Henry and Will, aged about 11 and 8 years, respectively. Besides his wife and the two small sons he leaves to mourn his taking away his father and mother, two brothers, William and John, living in Grant Township, and two sisters, Mrs. Otto Ludwigs and Mrs. Martin Croon, also of Grant Township. Mr. Hartman was a hardworking man, fair and honest in his dealings and an indulgent husband and father. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Akron and the funeral was held there Saturday at 12:50 a.m. Rev. Meske officiating in both English and German languages.
