Description	:	DIETRICH E. BIERMAN Dietrich E. Bierman, 85, died of old age and heart trouble at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Kopf Fruitland Township yesterday afternoon. He had been ill for the past three weeks. Mr. Bierman was born in Hanover, Germany Aug. 9, 1840, and came to this country 52 years ago, moving directly to this county. For a number of years he was the owner of a wood and coal yard in Muscatine, later engaging in farming. Mr. Bierman was born in Hanover, Germany Aug. 9, 1840, and came to this country 52 years ago, moving directly to this county. For a number of years he was the owner of a wood and coal yard in Muscatine, later engaging in farming. He married Miss Rebekah Lemkau in Germany about 60 years ago, who preceded him in death 13 years ago. He is survived by 3 daughters; Mrs. Mary Massey, Mrs. Henry Kopf, and Mrs. Fred Kopf, all of Muscatine; 6 sons: John, Edwin and William of Muscatine, George of Summitt, (a little village north of Muscatine), Henry and Fred of Milwaukee; 40 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the home at 2 o'clock, and from the German Methodist Episcopal church at 3 o'clock, tomorrow afternoon, in charge of the Rev. E. H. Guenther.
