Description	:	From the Skidmore News, January 20, 1916, page 6: "Dillie Sharp was born Nov. 11, 1844, in North Carolina and departed this life Jan. 8, 1916, at Edgemont, South Dakota. When a child she came to Mo. with her parents settling in Nodaway county. She was united in marriage to Alex Russell on Jan. 18, 1868. To them eight children were born, two dying in infancy, following are the names of the living children: J. T., Skidmore, Mo., Mrs. J. S. Davis, Edgemont, S.D.; Albert, Rushville, Mo.; John T., Nevada, Mo.; Mrs. Henry O'Riley, Quitman, Mo.; and Mrs. Margie Davis,... When a child she came to Mo. with her parents settling in Nodaway county. She was united in marriage to Alex Russell on Jan. 18, 1868. Davis, Edgemont, S.D.; Albert, Rushville, Mo.; John T., Nevada, Mo.; Mrs. Henry O'Riley, Quitman, Mo.; and Mrs. Margie Davis, Twin Bridges, Mont. She also leaves a husband and two brothers, Anderson Sharp, Quitman, Mo., and W. P. Sharp, Stanberry, Mo. About eight years ago, she with her husband moved from Missouri to Oklahoma where they resided until this winter when they moved to South Dakota, where she died. Mother Russell has been a member of the Christian church about 25 years and was always a true Christian, a good mother, faithful companion and true neighbor, always willing and ready to help the needy. We commend the aged husband and grief children to the God of all comfort. The funeral services were held from the Christian church in Skidmore, Mo., Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 2 o'clock p.m. in charge of Elder S. D. Harlan and the body was laid to rest in the Masonic cemetery. Card of Thanks We desire to express our heartfelt thanks to the kind friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy shown us during the sickness, death and burial of our dear wife and mother.
