Surviving are his widow and 7 children: Mrs. Dirk Van Bree, Richard, Mrs. Jurrien Timmer, Mrs. Peter Van Regenmorter, Mrs. Herman Wissink, Mrs. Ray Van Deest and Miss Coba. All the children live in this vicinity. A brother John, and a sister who still lives in the Netherlands also survive. The funeral was held from the First Reform church on Monday and interment was made in the local cemetery. Among those coming from a distance to attend the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Bos of Sanborn, Wm. Doeksen, Rock Rapids, Ralph Swartz of Rock Rapids, Dick Van Kley and son Jake of Sheldon, Mr. and Mrs. Koele from Alton and Mrs. Geo. Van Peursem, Jr. of Maurice. Alton Democrat 1924-05-03.
