Description	:	Dolan "Dode" C. Bomberger, 75, of North Platte, died July 24, 2005, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 16, 1929, in Kearney to Harley and Dessolee Bomberger. On July 3, 1950, he married Beulah Kennedy in North Platte. They had four children - Charles, Rodney, Diane and Douglas. Beulah preceded him in death March 22, 2000. Dolan was remarried to Eldora Haddock Oct. 5, 2002. "Dode" hired on to the railroad in 1948, and enjoyed his entire 42-year career with the Union Pacific Railroad. He is survived by his wife Eldora; three sons, Charles (Cathy), Rodney, and Doug; seven grandchildren, Heather, Kelly, Kirsten and Jessica Bomberger, Casey, Amanda and Travis Miller; stepson, Gary (Julie) Haddock; stepdaughters, Sue (Dave) Gies and Carol (Kevin) Halley; step-grandchildren, Jason (Gabby) Carlson, Aaron (Kari) Gies, Zac Halley, Tabetha (John) Dexter and Kortney Halley; a brother, Martin (Virginia); two sisters, Barbara (George) Leider and Annette Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah; daughter, Diane Miller; two brothers, Bill and Warren; and a sister, Bonnie Smith. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in North Platte with the Rev. James Hawley officiating. Burial will be at Floral Lawns. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7/27/2005 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
