Mr. Rackley went to be with his Savior on September 8, 2012. Dolen was born May 8, 1918 in Pottsville, Arkansas to Elmer and Hettie Rackley. He graduated from Pottsville High School. Dolen married Mae Standridge on October 14, 1939 in Pottsville. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army and was part of the occupying forces in Japan. He returned to Arkansas where he was involved in the dairy industry. He then moved his family to Texas in 1949 and worked in agriculture. Dolen was a faithful member of the Baptist Church and served as a Deacon at several congregations. His wife, Mae, passed away on March 4, 1997. On February 13, 1999, he married Florence Potts. Loved ones include his wife, Florence; daughters, Eulane Taylor and husband, Marshall, Nell Williams and husband, Coleman, and Kay Solomon and husband, James; sisters, Eula Thompson and Sue Horton; granddaughters, Donna Bowling, Charla Stringer, Sandi Enloe and Kasey Kliegl; and nine great-grandchildren. Dolen was proud to have served his country. His walk in faith was an example to all. He was truly devoted to his family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
