Description	:	NEW VIENNA, Iowa -- Dolores M. Boeckenstedt, 98, of Oak Crest Manor, Dyersville, formerly of New Vienna, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Oak Crest Manor, following a brief illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Vienna, with the Rev. John O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be an Altar Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary rosary at 4 p.m., and a parish scripture service at 5 p.m. She was born on Oct. 11, 1909, in New Vienna, daughter of Anton and Agnes (Beckman) Boeckenstedt. She helped on the family farm and later did housekeeping work, especially for Msgr. Leo A. Jaeger at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dubuque for 23 years. After his death, she retired and returned to New Vienna to help care for her ailing mother. She was a member of St. Boniface Parish and its Altar Society, the Edward W. Lake VFW Auxiliary, the New Vienna Historical Society and the Tri-County Sportsman Club. Her hobbies included crocheting, card playing and playing bingo. Surviving are a sister, Rose Agnes Boeckenstedt, and a brother, David W. Boeckenstedt, both of New Vienna; and two sisters-in-law, Marcella Boeckenstedt, of Dyersville, and Alice Boeckenstedt, of Dubuque. She was proud to be an aunt to 59 nieces and nephews, a great-aunt to 53 and a great-great-aunt to 60. She had four godchildren, Ann Reinert, of Petersburg, Gary Boeckenstedt, of Colleyville, Texas, Luke Boeckenstedt, of Dyersville, and Rose A. Boeckenstedt. She was preceded in death by her parents; and seven brothers, Charles (Alma), Arthur (Helen), James (Imelda), Mark (Agnes), Albert, Anthony (Julianna and Winnie) and Robert Boeckenstedt.
