Description	:	Dolores M. Buller, 92, of Pierre, formerly of the Clear Lake area, passed away December 3, 2012 at St. Mary's Healthcare Center in Pierre. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:30am at St. Mary Parish Catholic Church in Clear Lake, SD on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Inurnment will follow at Lake View Cemetery. Buller, 92, of Pierre, formerly of the Clear Lake area, passed away December 3, 2012 at St. Mary's Healthcare Center in Pierre. Dolores was born on June 24, 1920 at home near Altamont, SD to Jack and Susan (Kranz) Byer. The eldest of two girls, Dolores grew up on the farm, graduating from Waverly High School in 1938. After high school she moved to Mankato, MN were she attended college studying business. After college she returned to Clear Lake where she was employed as Deputy Clerk of Courts. While working in Clear Lake, she met the love of her life, John Buller. They were married on November 18, 1944 in Hattiesburg, MS where John was awaiting deployment overseas during World War II. When John returned from war, they began a life-long career in farming on her family's homestead at Altamont. To this union were born two daughters, Roxanne and Sheila. Upon retirement in the late 1980's, she and John moved to Watertown, to be near Sheila. John passed away in 1995. Dolores moved to Pierre with Sheila in 1998 where she lived until her passing. Dolores loved to garden and enjoyed using her produce in her cooking. Her greatest passions in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grateful for having shared in her life are her daughter Sheila Carpenter of Pierre, son-in-law Dennis Tipton of Pierre, grandson Bryan (Holly) Tipton of Pierre, granddaughter Holly (Colin) Sabby of Sioux Falls and six great grandchildren: Zac, Landon, Adyn, Myles, Roxana and Keaton. She was preceded in death by her husband John, parents, daughter Roxanne, and sister Rita.
