Description	:	Dolores Luebcke, 86, of Norfolk, NE., died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at St. Josephs Rehabilitation and Care Center, Norfolk, NE. Dolores was born on March 5, 1926 in Mayfield, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Panteen and Mary (Hanchak) Shlanta. Dolores was baptized at St. John's Russian Orthodox Church in Mayfield, PA. She moved with her family at the age of 12 in 1938 from Mayfield, Pennsylvania to Washington DC. She graduated from Central High School in Washington DC on June 13, 1944. Read More	Dolores Luebcke, 86, of Norfolk, NE., died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at St. Josephs Rehabilitation and Care Center, Norfolk, NE. Dolores was born on March 5, 1926 in Mayfield, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Panteen and Mary (Hanchak) Shlanta. Dolores was baptized at St. John's Russian Orthodox Church in Mayfield, PA. She moved with her family at the age of 12 in 1938 from Mayfield, Pennsylvania to Washington DC. She graduated from Central High School in Washington DC on June 13, 1944. At the age of 16 she worked for the Hecht Company pricing clothing, and during her senior year of high school she was a typist for the War Manpower Commission. She then worked for the Reconstruction Finance Department doing finger printing for the FBI. Dolores married Earl Luebcke on November 3, 1945 at Christ Lutheran Church in Washington D.C. The couple then moved east of Battle Creek, NE. where they farmed until 1970 when they moved to Norfolk, NE. She worked for Montgomery Wards for 19 years and then for nine months for Cat Machinery before going to work for Dr. Joel Gillispe for many years and then for Chet Hammerlin Hearing. Dolores is survived by: children and their spouses, Joan and Jim Palmer of Rockville, MD., Jean and Gerald Muehlmeier of Norfolk, NE., Don and Barbara Luebcke of Huntington Beach, CA. and Allen and Robin Luebcke of Ponca City, OK.; eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband in September 2003, brother, Michael Shlanta and infant sister, Dorothy Shlanta. Burial was in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Battle Creek, NE.
