Description	:	Dolretta F. “Dolly” Purtell age 86 of Hillsboro passed away peacefully Thursday morning November 22, 2018 at her home. Dolly was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma April 5,1932. She was a bright and diligent student and upon her graduation in 1951 from Ponca City High School, she passed an exam that landed her a job as an intern in Washington, DC. Read More	Dolretta F. “Dolly” Purtell age 86 of Hillsboro passed away peacefully Thursday morning November 22, 2018 at her home. Dolly was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma April 5,1932. She was a bright and diligent student and upon her graduation in 1951 from Ponca City High School, she passed an exam that landed her a job as an intern in Washington, DC. It was there that she met Nolan Purtell who fell in love with her on their first date. They were married May 9, 1952. Nolan and Dolly moved to Little Rock, Arkansas when she was a young mother. There she made the decision to live the rest of her life following Jesus. It was a decision that she did not waiver from and it impacted the way she lived her life as well as the lives of her family and descendants. In 1997 Nolan and Dolly moved to Hillsboro, Ohio. Dolly loved table games, cooking, birds, crafts, and traveling, but most of all she loved serving God and she was overjoyed as her children and grandchildren loved and served the Lord as well. She was a member of the Northview Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Oliver Purtell, three children, Denise (Jerrold) Bradley of Hillsboro, Terry (Patty) Purtell of Loja, Equador, Duane (Barbara) Purtell of Overland Park, Kansas,thirteen grandchildren, Nicholas (Krystal) Bradley, Devon (Joshua) Hamilton, Matthew (Whitney) Bradley, Lindsey (Nicholas) Greenfield, Michael (Dakota) Bradley, Ryan Bradley, Meagan Bradley, Seth (Carrie) Purtell, Rebecca (Dustan) King, Angela Renee (Jesse) Morgan, Michelle Ranney, Melissa (Jeremy) Davis, twenty-nine great grandchildren, Chloe, Nolan, Bryce, Dylan, Blake and Gage Bradley, Violet, Sophia, Zoe and Sadie Hamilton, Owen, Emery and Eisley Bradley, Maxwell, Charles, Nora, Ruth and Lucy Greenfield, Gentry Lewis Bradley, Zoie Purtell, Weston, Marcus and Esther King, Daniel, Ellianna, Karist and Devonae Morgan, James and Reese Davis and one sister, Winnie (Ron) Covill, Ponca City, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 28th at the Northview Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Pastor Tom Bevers, minister of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Batavia, will officiate. Burial will follow on Saturday, December 1st at the McHorse Cemetery in Provo, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until 11:30 a.m. at the Northview Baptist Church. Arkansas Baptist Foundation, 10 Remington Dr., Little Rock, AR 72204. Funds will be used to support Christian education in the state of Arkansas. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
