Description	:	Funeral services were held yesterday at 2 p.m., from the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Minot, for Donald A. Engeberg, 28, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Engeberg, Kenmare rural, who succumbed of poliomyelitis, in a Minot hospital Monday noon. The Rev. L.H. Rahn of Minot officiated and interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Minot. Pallbearers were Alvin O'Clair, Mickey O'Clair, Wayne Larson, Donald Funke, Glen Mitchell and Frank Zeltinger, Jr. The young man was taken to Minot Saturday morning where his illness was diagnosed. Donald Arthur Engeberg was born July 4, 1926, at Kenmare, and his childhood and youth were spent in the Kenmare and Tolley communities. He was graduated from Tolley High School in 1944. He had been employed at Fargo for several winters, and had been engaged in farming east of Kenmare. Surviving in addition to his parents and his brothers, are a niece, Linda Carol Engeberg and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Engeberg. He is also survived by a number of aunts and uncles, including Mrs. Math Haugen, Dalbrand, Sask.; Mrs. Esther Swenson, Eureka, Mont.; Mrs. W.R. Chivers and Mrs. Arthur Hegele, Minot; Mrs. Nels Olson and Mrs. Anna McIntosh, Donnybrook; Mrs. Ruth Elms, Portal; Mrs. R.E. Schwandt, Redfield, S. Dak., and Miss Florence Engeberg, Kenmare. His uncles include John Stroklund, Donnybrook; Roy Engeberg, Mosea, Col., and Dr. D.J. Engeberg, Sacramento, Calif. From the scrapbook of Lillian Lundgren Zeltinger who passed away in 1997.
