Description	:	Donald D. Trauernicht, 91, of Wymore, passed away at his home south of Wymore Tuesday morning, March 11, 2014. He was born on May 4, 1922, on the family farm south of Wymore to William and Anna (Hedding) Trauernicht. Donald attended country schools near Wymore and lived south of Wymore his entire life. He was born on May 4, 1922, on the family farm south of Wymore to William and Anna (Hedding) Trauernicht. Donald attended country schools near Wymore and lived south of Wymore his entire life. Donald served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II, serving from 1942-1946. He and Luetta Henrichs were married on Nov. 21, 1951. Donald had been a member of the St. John Lutheran Church at Wymore and had served on the St. John Cemetery Board. He was a charter member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and had served on the Building Committee and the Church Council; past member of the Barneston School Board; and member of the American Legion in Wymore. Donald enjoyed traveling, working with the soil, and attending his grandchildren's activities. Survivors include his wife Luetta; son Mark Trauernicht and wife Joey of Wymore; three grandchildren, Haley, Dalton and Taylor Trauernicht; adopted children and their families Al Henrichs and wife Judy of Decatur, Ill., Larry Arganbright and wife Sharon of Omaha, Cherrish Holland and husband Matt and their children Wolzen and Miller, Honner Orlando and husband Joe and their children Lorenzo and Gianna, Jerry Arganbright and wife Glenda of Iowa City, Iowa, Jill and Jeni Arganbright, Nancy Cook and husband Ted of Frisco, Texas, and Rachel Gunderson and husband Dusty; brother Eldon Trauernicht of Beatrice; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna (Hedding) Trauernicht; and brothers Elmer, Harold, Clarence, and William Trauernicht. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Reverend Rob Garton and Reverend Larry Arganbright officiating. Public burial of his ashes will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery. There will be no viewing, but a register will be available for signatures on Friday from 1-9 p.m. at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore with the family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m. A memorial has been established to the church and the family's choice with Roger and Barb Henrichs in charge. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Sign Donald's online guest book at www.ghchapel.com. The Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore is in charge of the services.
