Description	:	Donald D. Benz was born December 15, 1928 in Melvin, Iowa; at the time of his death he was 87 years, 6 months, and 8 days old. He graduated from Melvin High School in 1947 and married Eilene Betz on September 6, 1949. He worked at Juber Implement and Miller Implement in Melvin and then farmed near Melvin and later near Round Lake, MN for several years before moving to Worthington, MN in 1971. He graduated from Melvin High School in 1947 and married Eilene Betz on September 6, 1949. The past several years he and Eilene have made their home in Sioux Falls, SD Don is survived by his wife of 66 years; Eilene; three sons, Alan (Michelle), Prior Lake, MN, Tony (Brenda), Rock Rapids, Iowa, Rex (Julie), Sioux falls, SD and two daughters, Ann (Lyle) Heath, Round Lake, MN and Joan Benz, St. Louis, MO, 14 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and his sister Helen Miller, Hartley, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents Louie and Josie Benz, his brother Russell, daughter-in-law Kathy Benz and great grandchild, Blake Benz. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls with inurnment in St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery. The family will be present one hour prior to the service to greet friends. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. - Heritage Funeral Home
