Description	:	Donald was born March 31, 1922 in Sac County, the son of Duane and Clara (Baxter) Mason. He attended school at Early and graduated with the class of 1939. In January of 1943 he was inducted into the United States Army during World War II, serving in the E.T.O. He received his discharge in November of 1945. He married Helen Bihrer January 23, 1946 at the Early United Methodist Church. They lived on and farmed the Clara Evans farm until 1983 when they retired and moved into Early. Read More	Donald was born March 31, 1922 in Sac County, the son of Duane and Clara (Baxter) Mason. He attended school at Early and graduated with the class of 1939. In January of 1943 he was inducted into the United States Army during World War II, serving in the E.T.O. He received his discharge in November of 1945. He married Helen Bihrer January 23, 1946 at the Early United Methodist Church. They lived on and farmed the Clara Evans farm until 1983 when they retired and moved into Early. Donald was a member of the Early United Methodist Church, where he served as head usher and on various committees and offices. He was an active member of the Early Lions Club, the American Legion, and St. Elmo Masonic Lodge, No. 462 A.F. and A.M. On June 6, 1996 he received a 50 year membership certificate of the Grand Lodge of Iowa A:F. and A.M. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert.
