Description	:	Donald E. Bierman, 85, Crescent City, CA, formerly of Cando and Bisbee, ND, died Sunday, April 6th, 2008, at home. Services will be held on Friday, April 18th, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Bisbee Lutheran Church, Bisbee, with interment in the Bisbee Lutheran Cemetery. Don was born on December 2, 1922, at Tripoli, IA, to Arthur and Elsie (Baugtz) Bierman. He moved to North Dakota with his parents when he was 5 years old. He was raised and attended school in Coolin Township of Towner County for six years before moving to Bisbee, where he graduated from Bisbee High School in 1939. He then worked on the Ole Lyster farm. Donald entered the U.S. Navy and served from 1943 until 1945. Following his discharge, he returned to Bisbee and worked for Joe Auka Implement until 1958, when he began working for Houtcooper Implement of Cando. He retired in 2005 after 60 years in the implement business. Donald moved to Crescent City in July of 2005. He was a member of the Devils Lake Elks and the Bisbee American Legion. Donald is survived by: his brother, Elmer (Geraldine) Bierman of Lansford, ND; and his three sisters, Florence Howard of Crescent City, CA, Loretta Schleff and Darleth (Donal) Collier, all of Tucson, Ariz. Donald’s parents and three brothers, Lowell, Willard and Walter, preceded him in death. [Minot Daily News 15 April 2008]
