He was born Feb. 4, 1932, in Burrton to Abraham G. and Della (Luginbill) Ratzlaff. He married Virginia Ruth Martin Jan. 7, 1956, in Halstead. She survives of the home. Ratzlaff, 68, retired Burrton township and city of Burrton employee, died Tuesday (March 28, 2000) at Halstead Hospital. He was born Feb. 4, 1932, in Burrton to Abraham G. and Della (Luginbill) Ratzlaff. He married Virginia Ruth Martin Jan. 7, 1956, in Halstead. She survives of the home. He was sergeant first class in the U.S. Army, where he retired after 20 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korean War and Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Post, in Burrton and Loyal Order of the Moose No. 982, in Hutchinson. Other survivors include: two sons, Larry Ratzlaff of Norristown, Pa., and David Ratzlaff of Burrton; one daughter, Kasandra Morrison of South Hutchinson; one sister, Delite Regier of Buhler; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Ratzlaff and Charles Ratzlaff. Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m. Friday at Burrton Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Walter officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kaufman Funeral Home.
