He is survived by three sons, Gregory of Boulder, Colorado, Edward of Richardson, Texas and Michael of Plano, Texas and one niece Janet of Naples, Florida. Read More	Donald Edward Balvin, age 93, passed away peacefully at his residence in Plano on January 21, 2014. Don was born on February 3, 1920 in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the son of Edward and Anna Balvin. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Doris Elaine Balvin. He is survived by three sons, Gregory of Boulder, Colorado, Edward of Richardson, Texas and Michael of Plano, Texas and one niece Janet of Naples, Florida. Don was employed by Lennox Industries for over 50 years. His last position was the purchasing agent at their corporate offices in Marshalltown Iowa before moving to Texas in 1978. Don and Doris were actively involved in their parish, St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, Texas serving in number capacities. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday January 31st at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, TX. A reception will follow at the parish hall. Visitation will be on Thursday evening, January 30th from 6 until 8pm at the church with a Deacon conducting a wake service at 7pm. Don will be laid to rest at a later date next to his wife at the Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa.
