Description	:	Donald was born Sept. 17, 1931, in Des Moines to Alfred and Gena Casey (Skarsten). He graduated from Benson High School in Benson, Minn., in 1949. After high school, Donald enlisted in the US Navy in the fall of 1950 and served during the time of the Korean War on an ammunition ship, the USS Great Sitkin. He moved to Hampton following his service in the Navy. Donald met Yvonne Jensen at a box social at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Mason City and married her in April 1955. He graduated from Benson High School in Benson, Minn., in 1949. After high school, Donald enlisted in the US Navy in the fall of 1950 and served during the time of the Korean War on an ammunition ship, the USS Great Sitkin. He moved to Hampton following his service in the Navy. Donald met Yvonne Jensen at a box social at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Mason City and married her in April 1955. To this union were born six children, Michael, Darrell, Timothy, Debra, Diane, and Lori Ann. Donald was a self-employed contractor in Mason City, and built many homes. Donald was an enthusiastic fan of Minnesota Gophers sports. He was in tune with all of their programs, but had a special love for the men's basketball and the football teams. Don was also a fan of Min-nesota Vikings football. Any initiated sports conversations could easily encompass hours. Donald loved spending time with his family gathered around him, and enjoyed attending his grandkids' birthday parties, and celebrating holidays together. Donald was well known by all that encountered him by his infectious and boisterous laugh. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Gena Casey, his wife Yvonne, his brother Alfred Casey Jr. (Bud), sisters Ann Rickard and Gloria Gyldenvand and nephews, Robert Casey and Jay Whitehurst.
