(Allen) Sigg. He was the oldest of 14 children. Don graduated from Iola High School in 1953 and on May 30, 1955, he married Patsy Weeks. (Allen) Sigg. He was the oldest of 14 children. Don graduated from Iola High School in 1953 and on May 30, 1955, he married Patsy Weeks. After Don served in the United States Army, they returned to Iola to make their home. They were later divorced. Over the years he worked for the Ice Plant, Thompson Poultry, Armco Steel, Tucker Construction and S. & M. Construction before retiring. In 1992, Don married Sharon Kincheloe and they operated Lady Bug Greenhouse. He enjoyed raising dalmatians as a hobby. Don had many friends and enjoyed visiting with them. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. His wife survives of the home, as do three sons, Donnie Joe, Chanute, Dennis and his wife, Tracy, Joplin, Mo., and Scottie, Salina; two daughters, Janice Carroll and her husband, Mark, Pratt, and Lacy Sigg, of the home; seven brothers, John, Vic and his wife, Nancy, Herb and his wife, Rhonda, Dan and his wife, Jan, Jerry and his wife, Daryl, and Steve and his wife, Kelly, all of Iola, and Ron and his wife, Georgia, Parsons; three sisters, Elsie Galemore and her husband John, and Pat Griffith, Chanute, and Helen MacNabb, Raleigh, N.C.; three grandchildren, Daniel Potter, Kristi Holland and her husband, Jason, and Freddy Sigg; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Khloe Holland; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Allen Sigg and David Sigg and a sister, Mary Fudge. Parish rosary recited at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola, followed by Mass. Burial at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Gas. The family received friends at St. John's Parish Center in Iola. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or The Don Sigg Memorial Fund c/o Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola.
