Description	:	Donald Eugene Dunn was born June 28, 1928 in Tipton, Indiana to David and Edna (Achenbach) Dunn. He was their only child. Later his mother remarried and she had another child, Donald’s half-sister, Brenda Stewart Amonette. Donald was very close to his maternal grandparents, Walter and Winona Achenbach as they helped raise him. He attended Tipton High School and then graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1946. Read More	Donald Eugene Dunn was born June 28, 1928 in Tipton, Indiana to David and Edna (Achenbach) Dunn. He was their only child. Later his mother remarried and she had another child, Donald’s half-sister, Brenda Stewart Amonette. Donald was very close to his maternal grandparents, Walter and Winona Achenbach as they helped raise him. He attended Tipton High School and then graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1946. After high school Donald farmed and worked for F. Ray Hull and Son, the Massey Harris dealer in Tipton, Indiana. Later he became a lineman for the City of Tipton and he also was a Tipton City Police Officer. Eventually he became a full-time dairy farmer for a number of years. He was also in the transportation industry. In 1942 while in high school he met the love of his life, Emmanell Small. They married in 1946 and were together 69 years. She survives. They are lifetime members of the West Street Christian Church, members of the American Dairy Association, and Masonic Lodge. Donald was a Cub Scout Master, a member of the Mid-America Old Threshers Association, and a Charter Member of the National and State Massey-Harris Collectors Association. He served as President of the State Massey-Harris Association for many years and served on the Board of the National Association. Donald was a member of OOIDA and AMPI. Donald is survived by his wife, Emmanell, and five children, John and Susan Dunn, Linda and Greg Kegler, Walter and Lynn Dunn, Ann and Dan Cox, and Garry and Debby Dunn. He has 12 grandchildren, Steven, Dwain, Sheri, Tanya, Derek, Grant, Emily, Blair, Tammy, Randy (deceased), Cory, and Rusty. He also has 21 great- grandchildren and 5 great -great grandchildren. Donald was a wonderful family man who enjoyed get-togethers with his family and loved to watch the young ones play and grow. He always wondered what the next generation would bring him. Donald loved his Massey tractors and attending antique tractor shows all over the Midwest. He enjoyed the many friends he met at tractor shows and was very knowledgeable about all kinds of tractors and farm machinery. Many people called him for information and advice about antique tractors throughout his life and he enjoyed talking about tractors and farming with everyone. A private family visitation will be held with a public graveside service scheduled for 11:30 AM on Friday June 24, 2016 at Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Linda McKiernan-Allen of the West Street Christian Church officiating.
