Description	:	ESTHERVILLE - Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Eugene Johnson, 52, will be observed Thursday (today) at 6 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church., with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. He died Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Holy Family Hospital. Committal services will be held at Zearing, IA. at 9 a.m. Saturday. Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home until 5:30 this afternoon. He was born Nov. 11, 1929 at Zearing, Ia. the son of Dwight E. and Mabel Clair (Armstrong)Johnson. He received his eduction in the Zearing schools. On June 18, 1949 he married Mary Louise Carmody at St. Anthony, Ia. He worked in the family hardware business at Zearing until 1968 where he was very active in the buinessmen's association and a volunteer fireman. He was a scout leader for over 20 years. He moved to Colo, Ia. and was Director of Buildings and Grounds for the schools, and was assistant director in the Ames school system. He moved to New Hampton where he worked for St. Joseph Hospital. In 1978 he came to Estherville where he was Superintendent of Building and Grounds for the Estherville school system. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise; two sons, Douglas of Randall, Ia., Joseph of Ames; two daughters Mrs. Rodney (Maridon) Harris, Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Paul (Renae) Zoske, Stockport, Ia.; five grandchildren; brother Everett Johnson, Zearing; sister Mrs. Leslie (Jeanette) Levig, Bonners Ferry, Ida.
