He married Darlene Hardgrove on October 6, 2012.Don was a 1964 graduate of Fort Madison High School and a graduate of University of Iowa. He was a member of Christian Motor cycle Association, Chosen Few Motorcycle Club of Iowa, a life member of ABATE of Iowa and past coordinator of District 14, a member of O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion, chaplain for the Patriot Guard Riders, co-founder of Brother's Keeper Ministries, he served on the Camel Club board and served 11 years on the Ottumwa Human Rights Commission.Surviving is his wife, Darlene; his children, Katrina Ann Saylor of Des Moines, Samantha Kirchner of Aurora, CO and Adam Jon Kirchner of Berlin, Germany; spirit son, Robbie (Jessie) Saylor of Ottumwa; step-daughter, Malynda Lynn (Tonya) Teeter of Oskaloosa; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandsons; 3 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jon W. (Jeannie) Kirchner of Kahoka, MO and a niece, Joni (Chris) Lopez of Muscatine.He was preceded in death by his parents.His body has been cremated.Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Monday at First Pentecostal Assembly of God with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery with military services conducted by O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion and Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars.The family will be present at the church one hour prior to the service.For those unable to attend the service, his book will be available to sign throughout the day, Sunday, at Reece Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Pentecostal Once Lost Now Found Ministry or Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties.Reece Funeral Home is in charge of
