Pennsylvania. He was born Aug. 21, 1916, in Ottumwa to Jonas Frank and Laura Reed Hampshire. A John Morrell Company retiree, he was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Lenora Irene Palmer on April 2, 1938, in Lancaster, Mo. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Agency Cemetery, with the Veterans of Foreign Wars officiating. Visitation is open at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Friday. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society in care of Florene de Buhr, 3 Carter Court Lane, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars firing squad.
