Marshall and Bertie Brittain Marshall. He retired from E. I. DuPont as Maintenance Supervisor with 36 years service, was a Navy veteran, serving with the Pacific Theatre and WWII, was a member and Elder of Horsepasture Christian Church and also an assistant Sunday School teacher. Marshall, Horsepasture; stepchildren, Mrs. Michael L. (Michele) Self, John E. Morris III, both of Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, William T. Marshall, Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Henry (Mae) Clifton, Horsepasture; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 24, 1996 in Horsepasture Christian Church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Jeff Starkey, the Rev. Doug Ramsey and the Rev. Bob Forrester officiating. Burial in Horsepasture Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Horsepasture Christian Church and other time at the home. Memorials may be made to the Marshall Cemetery Fund and Horsepasture Christian Church, Rt. 2, Box 769A, Ridgeway, Va. 24148. Arrangements by Norris Funeral Service.
