Donald was born September 16, 1923, in Sanborn, ND, the son of Harry and Martha (Michelis) Husel. As an infant he was adopted by Peter and Annie Jacobson. He grew up and was educated in the Binford area and graduated from Oak Grove High School, Fargo, ND. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Donna Quanbeck, June 8, 1957, in McVille, ND. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the rural Binford area. He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Binford. Surviving members of the family are his wife, Donna, rural Binford; one daughter, Wanda Jacobson, Minneapolis, MN; and one son, Arden (Marge) , Minneapolis, MN; two grandsons; one twin brother, David (Marilyn), rural Binford; two sisters, Myrtle O'Neil, Devils Lake, ND, and Blanche Feske, Texarkana, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clarence Husel. Published in the Griggs County Sentinel-Courier, Cooperstown, North Dakota, August 14, 1998.
