Description	:	Obit provided by Ronald Strong: Donald LeRoy Hamberger, little son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hamberger, was born February 21, 1934 and passed away at the home of his parents in Gering, Saturday, April 17, 1937 having reached the age of three years, one month and 26 days. Read More	Obit provided by Ronald Strong: Donald LeRoy Hamberger, little son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hamberger, was born February 21, 1934 and passed away at the home of his parents in Gering, Saturday, April 17, 1937 having reached the age of three years, one month and 26 days. Death followed a long sever illness which lasted for nine weeks. During these weeks, everything that medical science and loving hands could do was done in an effort to spare this precious life. At the age of about one year Donald was dedicated to the Lord through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. In his childlike way he responded to the appeals of the church. To him the ringing of the church bell on Sunday was God calling him to Sunday School. He said the bell said "Donny come to Sunday School." He especially loved the beautiful Christmas song "Silent Night" and tried to sing it when he was almost to weak to utter a sound. He leaves to mourn his going, his bereaved parents, two grand-parents and many other relatives. A bud the garden gave them, A pure and loving child: To rear within their household So pure and undefiled. And just as he was blooming, To beautify their home, The Heavenly Gardener called him To sit beside the throne.
