Nicholson, 42, a geography teacher in the Montgomery County public school system since 1962, died Sunday at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda following a heart attack. Mr. Nicholson was born in Comus, Md., and grew up there and in Poolesville, Md., where he graduated from Poolesville High School. He was a 1962 graduate of Frostburg State Teachers College. He taught at Kensington Junior High from 1962 until 1978 and at Francis Scott Key Junior High in Silver Spring from then until his death. Mr. Nicholson, who lived in Kensington, was a member of the Bethesda United Church of Christ and was a deacon there. Survivors include his wife, Mary, and two children, David and Laura, all of Kensington; his mother, Gladys Nicholson of Darnestown, Md., and a brother, Dennis of Poolesville. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the American Heart Association, or to the Wheaton Rescue Squad, Wheaton, Md. from The Washington Post, December 10, 1980.
