Donny, son of Irvin "Dick" and Rosanne (Reichert) Collins, was born July 28, 1960 at Osmond, Nebraska. Donny moved with his family to Albion, Nebraska where he attended school and graduated from Albion (NE.) High School. Donny, son of Irvin "Dick" and Rosanne (Reichert) Collins, was born July 28, 1960 at Osmond, Nebraska. Donny moved with his family to Albion, Nebraska where he attended school and graduated from Albion (NE.) High School. Following graduation, he worked at Lindsay Manufacturing while living in Albion and Columbus, Nebraska. Donny also worked as a heavy construction operator for Thiesen Bros in Norfolk, Nebraska. He later moved to Colorado where he worked with his brothers Jim and Jeff on roofing and siding. He then returned to Clarkson, Nebraska to be near family. Donny enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: learning his carpenter skills with his Dad, fishing, camping, repairing cars and mowers, and searching for antique clocks and horses. He especially enjoyed his four legged buddies, "Pepper" and "Shadow" and spending time with family and friends. Donny is survived by: mother: Rosanne Collins of Albion, Nebraska; father and step-mother. Irvin "Dick" Collins and wife Nancy of Grand Island, Nebraska; sisters, Cheryl Kerkman of Dodge, Nebraska, Donna Riedel of Newman Grove, Nebraska, Joan (Rod) Rieck of Spalding, Nebraska, Sally Scarlett of O'Neill, Nebraska and Lila (Chad) Pieper of Dodge, Nebraska; brothers: Bob (Jeanne) Collins of Norfolk, Nebraska, Dale Collins of Norfolk, Nebraska, Jim Collins of Ault, Colorado, Jerald (Rhonda) Collins of Norfolk, Nebraska and Jeff (Beth) Collins of Loveland, Colorado; grandmother, Lucy Anderson of Albion, Nebraska; best friend Pat of Fort Collins, Colorado; special friend and care giver, Tammy Albrecht of Clarkson, Nebraska and a host of relatives and friends. Donny was preceded in death by: grandparents: Martin Anderson, Matthew and Josephine Reichert. Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the United Methodist Church, Albion, Nebraska with Rev. Larry Barbary as officiator. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, Nebraska.
