Read More	Unknown Newspaper DONALD JOHNSTON Donald Kenneth Johnston, youngest born in the family of Benjamin and Annie Johnston, was born in Keosauqua, January 16, 1883. He grew up here and attended our schools. When the family moved to Keokuk after the father's death, Donald accompanied them, remaining there some months. Later he went west to Cripple Creek, where he had employment in an assay office with his brother, J. A. Johnston. From Cripple Creek he went to Breckenridge, Col., and after about a year in that place, to Goldfield, Nev., where again he was employed in his brother's office. Donald's death was from pneumonia, after a sickness of nine days. His age was 23 years, 11 months and 16 days. The surviving members of the family are Margaret, Mrs. Leroy Daughrity of Keokuk; James Alfred of Goldfield, Nev.; Ella, of Salt Lake City, and Sarah of Keokuk. And all were present. The funeral was held at the Congregational church Friday at 1:30. Rev. C. E. Perkins conducted the services and the music was by the church choir. Donald was a most exemplary and promising young man, and the sorely bereaved sisters and brothers and other relatives have the sympathy of all.
