Description	:	Donald L. Sears, age 76, of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Beverly Healthcare in Lake Norden. Funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Watertown, with Father John Lantsberger of the Holy Name Catholic Church officiating. Donald Lee Sears, the son of Glenn and Mable (O'Toole) Sears was born on November 13, 1930 at Beatrice, Nebraska. He moved with his family to Watertown, SD, and graduated from Watertown High School. On December 29, 1949 he married Patricia Hopkins at Watertown, SD, where they made their home. Donald was employed by the Watertown Municipal Utilities Department for over 40 years, and retired as Superintendent of the Water Department. Donald was a member of the Elks Lodge, board member of the Watertown Credit Union; a Charter member and officer in American Waterworks Association; and a longtime member of NRA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and reconditioning guns. Donald was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Watertown; four daughters, Jean Trygstad and her husband John of Portland, OR, Diane Bugeja and her husband Michael of Ames, IA, Deone Panek and her husband David of Colorado Springs, CO, and Lori Denton and her husband Ron of Tulsa, OK; three sons, Michael Sears and his special friend Deanna of Post Falls, ID, Steven Sears and his special friend Jane, and Patrick Sears all of Watertown; one brother, Richard Sears and his wife Georgia of Watertown; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. - Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel
