Description	:	Don was born to Adrian & Edna Koistinen on the family farm near. Don attended school in Lake Norden and helped on the family farm. He spent a lot of time helping on his uncles farms in the area. When attending Lake Norden High School, he was involved in sports and to this day holds the Pole Vaulting record there. In 1957 he married his high school sweetheart, Mae Gullickson, they are parents of three children. Don worked at several occupations including his own trucking company. Don attended school in Lake Norden and helped on the family farm. He spent a lot of time helping on his uncles farms in the area. When attending Lake Norden High School, he was involved in sports and to this day holds the Pole Vaulting record there. In 1957 he married his high school sweetheart, Mae Gullickson, they are parents of three children. Don worked at several occupations including his own trucking company. While in Madison he started his career with the modular home industry at Guerdon Industries becoming production manager. The family lived in many locations including, Boise Idaho, Rapid City , SD, North Vernon, IN and Phoenix, AZ. Don was employed by Ditch Witch and Vermeer Equipment as Sales Manager and General Manager. Don re married, retired and moving to Lake Preston, SD. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman he and his brother, Duke, were often seen in daylight or dark, in the sloughs and lakes of South Dakota, pestering the deer, fish and pheasants. Don will be dearly missed by his wife a son, two daughters six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren,and 2 sisters. He was welcomed home by his wife Mae, brother Duane (Duke), his grandson Lucas Koistinen, and his parents. Funeral arrangements have been made with Johnson-Henry Funeral Home, Lake Preston.
