Born March 15, 1948 in Keokuk, Iowa the son of Kenneth Lee and Elizabeth (Stice) Boyer. Survivors include his mother Elizabeth of Fort Madison, Iowa, two sisters Judy (Jim) Billings of Keokuk, Iowa and Janet (Stephen) Gregory of Bushnell, Florida, one brother Wayne (Linda) Boyer of Rapid City, South Dakota, nephews and nieces Ron (Tisha) Gregory, Patrick Gregory, Michael Gregory and Scott (Christa) Gregory all of Kahoka, Missouri, Matthew Gregory of Ashton, Missouri, David Boyer and Laura Boyer of Rapid City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth and several aunts and uncles. Donald was a graduate of Central Lee High School. He had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for DuPont and retired from there after many years of service. Donald enjoyed helping at the Shimek Raceway. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Donald's body has been cremated. A private memorial service will be held for him at a later date with Pastor Peg Ellingson officiating. Burial will be at the Embury Cemetery, rural Donnellson, Iowa.
