Mr. Rannfeldt is survived by his wife; two sons, Eldon and Douglas; his mother Mrs. Frieda Rannfeldt; two brother Leroy of Low Moor and Ronald of Clinton and three sisters, Mrs. Paul George, Mrs. Delbert Dalbkermeyer and Mrs. Shirley Bray of Clinton. Clinton Herald Jan 22, 1966 One man was killed and two seriously injured early today in a one-car crash at the north edge of Folletts. Deade on arrival at Jane Lamb hospital was Donald Rannfeldt, 36, 1526 12th Ave. S., who apparently was a passenger in an automobile owned by David Seeser, 23, 915 N. 11th St. Seeser and Wayne Lueders, 32, 101 N. 3rd St., were brought to the hospital by ambulande. Seeser is reported to be in fairly good condition and Lueders was said to be fair. Sherrifff's deputies who investigated the accident said they were unable to question either Lueders or Seeser because of their condition. Three deputy sheriffs and an Iowa Highway patrolman answered a call made to Sheriff Marvin Bruhn's office at 1:47 a.m. by a man who lives near the accident scene. Indications were, the deputies said, that the automobile was traveling at high speed when it came across the short black top strip connecting Highway 67 with the Folletts-Low Moor roade. It smashed against the embankment on the west side of the road and was demolished.. The three men were removed from the wreckage and taken to the hospital. Clinton police escorted the ambulance through the city and assisted in getting the victims into the hospital. It was said Rannfeldt was still alive when placed in the ambulance but he was prionounced dead when he arrived at the hospital. Police notified his wife of the tragedy. Rannfeldt's body was taken to the Pape funeral home. Clinton Herald Jan 22, 1966.
