He was born July 18, 1938, at Park, Kansas, the son of Michael and Hilda (Mader) Wildeman. He grew up in the Park, Kansas, area, and graduated from Park High School. He moved to Burlington in 1976, where he was employed as a diesel mechanic during the construction of the Wolf Creek Generating Station. Read More	Donald Michael Wildeman, 72, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 28, 2011, at Burlington. He was born July 18, 1938, at Park, Kansas, the son of Michael and Hilda (Mader) Wildeman. He grew up in the Park, Kansas, area, and graduated from Park High School. He moved to Burlington in 1976, where he was employed as a diesel mechanic during the construction of the Wolf Creek Generating Station. In 1988, he purchased Morris Service lawn equipment sales and repair service in Burlington, which he was still operating. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Burlington. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janette Louise Wildeman, who passed away on July 10, 1985, at the age of 5 years. He is survived by his daughter, Melanie (Braden) Smith and her husband, Tom, of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren - Rebecca McClurg and husband Justin, and Thomas, Megan, John, JackRyan and Jacob Smith; a great-grandson, Peyton McClurg; four brothers, Willie Wildeman and wife Marilyn, of Wakeeney, Melvin Wildeman and wife Imogene, of Garden City, Vern Wildeman of Wakeeney, and Leo Wildeman of Garden City; two sisters, Mary Ruder and husband Duane of Hutchinson, and Joyce Schmidt and husband Dwayne of Wakeeney. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Burlington, Kansas. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM on Monday evening, May 2, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, and the family will meet with friends following the rosary service until 8:00 PM.
