Read More	Donald Neil Coriell January 8, 1946 ~ September 27, 2013 Donald Neil Coriell passed away September 27, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born January 8, 1946, at the Deaconess Hospital in Wenatchee, WA, to William "Bill" and Frieda (Weddle) Coriell. He grew up on the family orchard at the Big Y, next to Blewett Pass, with three sisters and three brothers. Don graduated from Peshastin-Dryden High School in 1964, where he played both basketball and football. He married Victoria M. "Vicki" Chiado on September 28, 1968, at the Catholic Church in Leavenworth, WA. They were happily married for 20 years. He was employed as a master mechanic in the JC Penney automotive department for 15 years; going on to work for the Chelan County PUD through 1997; the Washington State Department of Transportation as a mechanic, snowplow driver and part of the road striping crew; and later driving semi for both Peshastin Hi-Up and McDougall's in the fruit industry. He met Sherry Bowen through the Friends and Singles Club of Wenatchee and they were married on February 14, 1996, at the First United Methodist Church in Wenatchee. They were happily married for 17 years prior to his passing. Don was well known for always helping others, whether mechanically or otherwise, constantly putting others before himself. His love for his family was immeasurable, sharing with us his passion for the great outdoors, whether it be snowmobiling above Jump Off Ridge, or up the Entiat and all areas in between; camping all over the west coast and Canada; or boating all over Lake Chelan, camping uplake along the way. He gave us a deep appreciation for the world around us and all of its natural beauty, achieving one of his lifelong dreams of going to Alaska with his son, Jeremy, in 2011. Don truly made us who we are, and for that we are truly grateful. Don was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" Coriell and Frieda Coriell; sister, Pat Rodriguez; brothers, Noel and Lowell Coriell; and "honorary second dad", Virg Sealey. He is survived by his wife, Sherry, of Wenatchee; mother-in-law, Myrt DeRooy of Wenatchee; sisters, Joyce (Del) Hurt of Wenatchee and Janice (Rex) Ivins of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Bob (Anita) of Thompson Falls, MT; his children and their families: daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Greaves and children, James-Michael Gjesvold and Dalayna Greaves, all of Wenatchee; son, Jeremy (Elodie) Coriell and daughters, Camille, Naomi, Maya and Ella, all of Vernonia, OR; step-son, Mike (Kristine) Bowen and twins, Ben and Emily, all of Kennewick, WA; step-son, James (Nissa) Bowen and daughters, Jayme Lynn and Brylee, all of Wenatchee; and step-daughter, Julie Straw and sons, Jason, Justin and Jacob, all of East Wenatchee; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Viewing will be held prior to the Service at the First United Methodist Church, corner of Miller and Washington Streets in Wenatchee, beginning at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, with the Funeral Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. at the church, officiated by Dr. Robert Brizee, followed by a time of reflection and refreshment.
